At 4:30 pm the National Weather Service has revised its Total Snow Accumulation forecast to indicate a possible 24 to 36 snow fall during this pending storm.
Additionally, the NWS has also issued a Coastal Flood Watch indicating possible storm flooding during Tuesday morning's 1:44 am 5.3 foot high tide which could reach a height of 7.9 to 8.5 feet with tidal departures. You should ensure your vehicles are parked on high ground well prior to this high tide.
If this storm intensifies and hits us as many forecast models are now predicting, prepare to be housebound until late Wednesday at the earliest. Strong winds during the storm will cause severe blowing and drifting with drifts in some cases measuring around 5 feet.
Travel conditions will quickly deteriorate as the heavy snow moves in making travel nearly impossible for a period of time.
