Tucked away on the west side of the small town of Broad Channel in the middle of Jamiaca Bay is a narrow, dead end, street that goes by the name of West 12th Road. Those of us who live there know that the nice part about living in a small town is that when you are not quite sure what is going on, someone else always does! [Peter J. Mid-Week Snow Storm?
The computer models are indicatng that the storm that is presently delivering ice and snow across the South will take a turn up the East Coast Tuesday into Wednesday and merge with another low presently working its way through the midwest.
There is potential for enough snow to disrupt travel from Washington, D.C., to Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, and Portland, Maine. Plenty of cold air will remain in place laying the groundworks for a few to several inches of snowfall for our area if this next storm hugs the coastline Tuesday into Wednesday.
As always, this storm bears watching as a wobble in the storm's track by 50 miles could mean the difference between nuisance snowfall or a more significant snowstorm.
