Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service New York NY 456 AM EDT Tue Oct 9 2018 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey and southeast New York. Heavy rainfall may be possible Thursday into Thursday evening as a cold front approaches, and as a tropical moisture plume streams in from the south between offshore high pressure and Michael, expected to be a tropical storm moving through the Southeast states at that time. Any thunderstorms that develop may also become capable of producing some isolated damaging wind gusts in the afternoon.
Tucked away on the west side of the small town of Broad Channel in the middle of Jamiaca Bay is a narrow, dead end, street that goes by the name of West 12th Road. Those of us who live there know that the nice part about living in a small town is that when you are not quite sure what is going on, someone else always does! [Peter J. Mahon West 12th Road, Broad Channel]
