Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service New York NY 440 AM EDT Sun Sep 16 2018 NYZ075-080-081-178-179-170845- Kings (Brooklyn)-Southwestern Suffolk-Southeastern Suffolk- Southern Queens-Southern Nassau- 440 AM EDT Sun Sep 16 2018 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southeast New York. The remains of Florence are currently forecast to bring one to one and one half inches of rain to the region, with locally higher amounts possible, from Monday afternoon into early Tuesday evening. While the most likely possibility is minor flooding from any heavy rainfall, there is still a low chance for mainly localized flash flooding.
Tucked away on the west side of the small town of Broad Channel in the middle of Jamiaca Bay is a narrow, dead end, street that goes by the name of West 12th Road. Those of us who live there know that the nice part about living in a small town is that when you are not quite sure what is going on, someone else always does! [Peter J. Mahon West 12th Road, Broad Channel]
