What part of Tidal Street Flooding don't they understand?

Earlier today, I spoke with several of the contractor's staff who seemed amazed with this morning's tidal street flooding on W12thRd and I advised each of them that this evening's high tide street flooding would be much worse.

So what did they do?

They parked the above two vehicles at the end of West 12th Road until they return tomorrow morning.

There is a coastal flood advisory in place for tonight's 9:45 p.m. high tide which will see approximately 2 feet of salt water in the street where the yellow box truck is parked.  I could also add the the box truck has essentially blocked access to the driveway to our neighbor's house at 58 W12thRd.

I called the Community Construction Liaison 's cell phone and left a message advising that someone should immediately contact the contractor to move the truck so as to avoid salt water damage to the vehicle.  I also contacted the Queens Office of the Liro Group and left a similar message with that office.

Here's hoping someone listens to their phone messages.
