...Localized Minor Coastal Flooding Wednesday Night...

* LOCATIONS...Vulnerable coastal locales of Southern New London
  and Southern Middlesex, the Bronx, Nassau, Suffolk, and Southern
  Queens.

* TIMING...During the times of high tide from Wednesday evening
  through late Wednesday night.

* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Brief minor flooding of the most
  vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Heavy
  rain during the time of high tide may exacerbate shoreline
  roadway and poor drainage flooding.

* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Breaking waves will result in beach erosion
  and flooding. Only minor damage to dune structures.

During Wednesday clouds will thicken and lower throughout the
morning. Rain will develop and become heavy at times from west to
east during the afternoon and early evening, with the winds
closer to the coast gusting to around 30 to 35 mph by evening.
The rain will taper off after midnight from southwest to
northeast, with rainfall totals averaging between an inch and a
half and two and a half inches.
