Dear Neighbor,

Assembly Legislative session is officially winding down in Albany. I’m proud of what we accomplished, but happy to be returning to my family and the community for the summer.

Don't forget, join us THIS SUNDAY,9am, on Beach at 87th Street or at Beach 140th street at 10:30am for Walk For the Shore II to demand that the NYC Administration and the Army Corps of Engineers replace sand and construct groins to keep us safe!

New Momentum on Rockaway Beach Rail Line!

The MTA, NYCT and the LIRR are moving forward on a joint evaluation for reactivating the dormant Rockaway Beach Rail Line. This is a huge deal. The three agencies are cooperating on hiring an outside consultant, which means all stakeholders will be on the same page.

Join the movement!   Sign the petition today for better transit options in South Queens: bit.ly/SouthQueensNeedsTransit .

George Russo one of two NYRA board members nominated by Speaker Heastie, in huge win for community

Local attorney and community leader George Russo will be one of 17 members of the statewide board of NYRA, which oversees the Aqueduct. I can’t imagine a better person to represent our area on the NYRA Board than George, and it was my honor to recommend him!
