The colorful celebration took place on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Legion Hall. It included music by DJ’s@Work, lights and smoke effects, and haunting decorations. There was also a hot buffet, drinks and lots of dancing.
First prize for best costume went to Frank Poretto as a towering Jack Skellington (on stilts) from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Second prize went to Tommy Corbett, who dressed as a certain infamous lion hunting dentist, complete with Cecil the Lion draped over his shoulders. Taking the group costume concept to a new level, and also taking Third Prize, were more than a dozen people who came as the cast and crew of Saturday Night Live.
Judges agreed picking only three standouts from the evenings imaginative costumes was a difficult task.
The gathering ended shortly after midnight, however costumed characters were seen haunting the neighborhood well into the night!
