Early this morning, EIC Associates was present at the end of West 12th Road with a backhoe and starting digging into the street directly in front of the outfall to the bay.
Needless to say I received several excited calls from neighbors inquiring as to whether the "street raising and bulkhead" work had begun.
No, this wasn't the start of the "Flood Mitigation Project - HWQ 118A, rather, the workers were attempting to find a repair a longstanding water main leak at the end of the block.
