Message from George Kasimos - Stop FEMA Now

I wanted to provide you all with two updates on Congressional action this morning.

·       Omnibus Appropriations Update: Section 207 Delay – The House and Senate will advance this week an omnibus appropriations package that includes the Homeland Security Appropriations legislation, which includes a one year delay of Section 207 premium increases (all post-FIRM properties).  We expect this to be signed into law by the end of this weekend.

·       Senate Action on the Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act – We expect Senate action on the Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act possibly as soon as today.  I will keep everyone posted as things develop.
