Today the City will release its Action Plan describing how it will spend the first allotment of Federal monies allocated to help people impacted by Sandy (this money comes via Community Development Block Grants).
The plan is available online or you can read it below. There will be a 2 week comment period during which the public is asked to assess the City's plan.
The City will then take that input, revise and submit the plan to HUD.
HUD will have 2 weeks to review it.
As this is happening the City will establish a registration process so folks whose homes were damaged can sign up for this next round of aid.
EVERYONE IMPACTED BY THE STORM SHOULD READ THE PLAN, and I am sure this plan will be discussed in depth at the next Broad Channel Civic Association meeting..
