Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service New York NY 604 AM EDT Tue Jun 30 2020 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey and southeast New York. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon into early evening. These storms will produce heavy downpours, strong wind gusts and small hail. The threat for an isolated severe thunderstorm with damaging wind gusts and one inch hail is low. In addition, there is potential for localized urban and poor drainage flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop Wednesday afternoon into early evening. A few storms may become severe, able to produce damaging winds gusts and hail at least one inch in diameter. In addition, there is potential for localized urban and poor drainage flooding. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will likely be needed.
