This month's full moon, which will rise this evening, Tuesday, July 19th, 2016, at 8:01 pm, was referred to as a "Thunder" Moon by Native Americans as it was the time of year with the most frequent thunderstorms.
In any event, the high tides accompanying today's full moon will not be exceptionally high and there are no weather systems in our area which would cause a significant departure from projected astronomical tidal heights so you should all sit back, relax and enjoy tonight's Full "Thunder" Moon!
