 The VFW will be hosting the New York Families of Autistic Children (NYFAC)
Foundation's "Smoke on the Water" BBQ Competition
this Saturday (June 11th) starting at 12 Noon.

The Belmont Stakes (aka: the "Test of Champions" and "The Run for the Carntaions", the third and final leg of the racing industry's prestigious "Triple Crown" series of races, will be held this
weekend with a post time of 6:30 pm.  The race will be televised on several of the
large screen TV's located in the Post canteen.
Unfortunately, once again this year, there will be no triple crown winner but
it's still a fun day so come on down and cheer your favorite horse or jockey
across the finish line!

The fun continues at 8 pm with a fundraiser for the Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department with the Broad Chanel Mardi Gras sponsored "Crazy Hat Bar Crawl"..
