For years, Bayview Grille and Marina offered diners more than just a good plate of food — it also had a wonderful view of Jamaica Bay.
The food and the view for more than three years were unavailable to the longstanding, family-owned Broad Channel restaurant.
It, like so many other buildings in Broad Channel and South Queens, was decimated by Superstorm Sandy.
Last month, following an extensive renovation process, Bayview proved it was stronger than the storm when it reopened its doors to the public.
“I’m very excited to be reopened,” owner Nick Martelli said.
Located at 25 Van Brunt Road, Bayview offers indoor and outdoor dining with a variety of drinks and food for its diners. There’s also no shortage of entertainment, as the restaurant has 10 big screen TVs for your viewing pleasure.
While there, you can enjoy a juicy burger, or chow down on fresh seafood as you look out over the bay.
The eatery’s website is bayviewgrill.com and it can be reached at (718) 945-2525. Bayview Grille and Marina is open seven days a week.
