This morning's tidal street flooding on W12th Road

Earlier this morning contractors scurry to relocate their vehicles as the tidal waters of Jamaica Bay rush down West 12th Road at 8:00 am as the morning's 9:30 a,m, high tide approaches.

Compare the initial 8 am picture of the fire hydrant and chair at the start of this post with the above picture taken some 40 minutes later at 8:40 am and you can easily discern how the tidal flooding has risen markedly at the end of the block.

Tidal street flooding has hopefully peaked at 9:30 am, time of high tide.

Needless to say, the street flooding has brought most contractor activity on West 12th Road to a standstill.

NOTE: a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect for this evening's 10 pm high tide.
