THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW YORK HAS CANCELLED THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY. * LOCATIONS...NEW YORK CITY...METRO NEW JERSEY...WESTERN LONG ISLAND AND SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF WESTERN CONNECTICUT. * HAZARD TYPES...HAZARDOUS WIND CHILLS AFTER MIDNIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING. * TEMPERATURES...LOWS TONIGHT 5 BELOW TO 3 ABOVE ZERO. * WIND CHILL...15 TO 25 BELOW DUE TO VERY COLD TEMPERATURES...AND WINDS NORTHWEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH. * TIMING...THE LOWEST WIND CHILLS WILL OCCUR AFTER MIDNIGHT INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING. * IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS WIND CHILLS COULD CAUSE FROST BITE AND POSSIBLY HYPOTHERMIA IF EXPOSED TO FOR MORE THAN A BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME. |
