Approaching 3:19 pm 5.7 foot high tide
We are approaching a new moon on Thursday , October 23rd, and minor, end of block, tidal street flooding on West 12th Road can be expected starting with tomorrow morning's 5.8 foot high tide at 8:01 am through Wednesday, October 29th.
Normally tidal heights would have to reach or exceed 6 feet to cause flooding on W12th Road but recently tidal heights as little as 5.7 feet are causing minor end of block flooding as evidenced by the photo above.
The increased occurrence of street flooding at less than a 6 foot tide height is not the result of climate warming, climate change, or climate disruption. It's because of the contractor's reconfiguration of the end of street outfall to the bay in preparation for the new bulkhead.
The dates and times of high tides with probable tidal flooding on W12thRd during this period are provided below for your convenience highlighted in red.
