Assemblyman Goldfeder stops by Broad Channel VFW Post 260’s first Sunday brunch since the storm, to congratulate the crew on a breakfast well served. There’s always room for one more in the kitchen as Assemblyman Philip Goldfeder drops in to give his compliments to the chefs at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Prince-Wynn Post 260 in Broad Channel.
Sunday, September 28, marked the VFW’s first brunch since the storm. The reviews were top-notch!
Now nearly full rebuilt, the VFW Hall onShad Creek Road was badly damaged during Hurricane Sandy.
Even so, the post hosted a donated supply distribution center afterwards, continued its outreach to vets, and has been steadily increasing its ongoing programs for veterans and the community since then.
All proceeds from the brunch go to benefit and support the VFW.
