The National Weather Service has issued the below Coastal Flood Statement indicating that this evening's 6.0 foot high tide at 5:29 p.m. may be accompanied by a tidal height departure of ..."1 TO 1 1/2 FEET...BUT APPROACHING 2 FEET IN SOME BACK BAY LOCATIONS".
Residents on W12thRd and other low lying areas prone to tidal flooding should ensure their cars are safely parked so as to avoid salt water damage during this evening's high tide.
Note: This morning's 5.3 foot high tide at 5:00m a.m. was accompanied by a tidal departure of just over 1 foot and saw significant tidal flooding on W12th Road.
