Early Season NorEaster tomorrow

A storm system presently off the Carolina is moving up the coast and will deliver an early season nor'easter to our area here in Broad Channel early tomorrow morning with gusty winds (30+ mph) and 1 to 2 inches of rain through the evening hours.

Onshore winds coupled with a new moon could result in some minor coastal flooding with tomorrow morning's 5.9 foot high tide at 9:43 am.

The bad news is that Thursday evening's Broad Channel 1st Annual Fall Festival at the BCAC field  looks like it may be impacted by rain.

The good news that this system will be out of here by Friday with a sunny and warm weekend coming next with temps in the low 80's.

All in all, the system will not be an overly significant weather event (just rain and gusty winds) but something you should be aware of nonetheless.
