Tuesday August 12th - 10 p.m.
While most of us simply moan and complain about the continual tidal street flooding on our streets, the younger members of our community adhere to the old adage "If life hands you a lemon - make lemonade!"
12 year old "Captain Mike" of West 12th Road was out and about braving the rain and street flooding during Tuesday evening's 8+ foot high tide, making lemonade, with a broad smile on his face!
Wednesday August 13th - 9:30 a.m.
Unfortunately, last night's high tide and street flooding damaged the perimeter enclosure of Rob and Trish
McCarthy's home on W12thRd which is presently raised to accommodate new foundation work.
Now they are trying to repair the damage while dealing with yet another high tide
and street flooding this morning.
To add insult to injury, W12thRd is again scheduled to have water service shut off for the 3rd consecutive day while new water main and pipes are installed at the top of the block.
The good news is that while the water is off, if you have need to use the "facilities", you can always avail yourself of the Call A Head "porta potty" at the end of the block.
Wednesday August 13th - 10 a.m.
Whoops!...My bad....no you can't!
The S.S. Porta Potty sunk during last night's high tidal flooding!
Wednesday August 13th - 11 a.m.
And the work goes on.......
Boy I'm missing all the excitement!
