At 2 pm on Monday afternoon work was still ongoing to install new water lines and main valve
at the top of West 12th Road.
Workers are dropping the new lines into the excavation on Cross Bay Boulevard .
As work continues, supplies and other equipment have been staged along the north side of the street at the
top of West 12th Road.
As you can see by the full garbage cans in the above picture, the Sanitation Department was not able to access our block today for our regularly scheduled Monday pick-up.
NOTE: Water service will be restored at the end of today's work; however,
another water service shut down will be necessary tomorrow, Tuesday,
August 12th, in order to complete the work.
