328 Actions Taken. Help us reach our goal of 500!
Last week, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a bold plan for rebuilding Sandy-affected communities with justice. When implemented, the City's plan will infuse billions of dollars into a rebuilding jobs program, expanded rental support for displaced residents, and more resilient public housing.
We’ve made major strides to speed up the recovery and keep the needs of low-income residents, immigrants and people of color in the forefront. But now we’re facing a large roadblock: Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is considering diverting $1 billion away from New York’s rebuilding funds.
It is critical we act now because HUD will likely make its decision any day. Will you sign this urgent petition asking HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan to not abandon Sandy survivors?
