WNYC's Brian Lehrer interviews HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan regarding the post-Sandy Rebuild By Design Project and New York City' Build it Back Program.
Secretary Donovan mentions the Oyster Bed Project being undertaken by N.Y.C. Harbor High School on Governor's Island as a resiliency measure being examined. (Several of our Broad Channel children, including my own daughter Victoria, currently attend Harbor High School.)
Of particular interest is Secretary Donovan's response to a January 2014 editorial regarding Sandy Recovery and Build It Back by none other than our own local WAVE newspaper editor, Kevin Boyle.
You can catch it at the 11m 15 sec point on the below audio file of the interview.
