Dear Neighbor,

I urge you to participate and share your ideas at one of the public engagement meetings for the New York Rising Community Reconstruction Zone (CRZ). This community driven program was created to provide additional rebuilding and revitalization funding for our communities that were severely damaged by Sandy.

Rockaway West Public Engagement Meeting

Russo's on the Bay, 162-45 Cross Bay Blvd

Please come to share your ideas and offer input on ways to help our communities recover and rebuild!!

Stay Strong,

Stop Neglecting Aqueduct
It's unacceptable that Aqueduct, a once community gem and national treasure, has become an eyesore and serious danger to our families and neighbors in southern Queens. OMonday, I joined with local unions and community members to announce the introduction of my new legislation that will require more than 30 million dollars a year in capital investment into Aqueduct Racetrack. We can utilize existing funds generated by Resorts World, that are currently diverted to Saratoga and Belmont, to create quality jobs in Queens and improve the facility.

It's time that NYRA stop neglecting our community and make the necessary investment to ensure that Aqueduct is safe and that we continue the economic growth that we need in Queens!

Petition to Quiet Airplane Noise
We have been plagued by airplane noise for too long! I recently launched an online petition for our families to sign in order to send a strong message to the FAA and Port Authority that they must listen to our community. We all understand that living next to the airport comes with certain challenges, but there are new techniques and updated technology that could mitigate noise and finally provide some relief.

 Guardian Angel Award
Last night, I was humbled to receive the Guardian Angel Award from the New York Families For Autistic Children  at their 16th Annual Awards Dinner. As the Chairman of the NYS Assembly Subcommittee on Autism, I want to thank the President of NYFAC, Andrew Baumann, and his wife Pamela for everything they do in our community and across the state!
