The above photo was taken at 7:10 am this morning as we were approaching a 6.6 foot full moon high tide at 8:00 am. The tide is being driven by a full moon exacerbated by a brewing offshore storm.
I had returned to West 12th Road after dropping my daughter at the subway for school and the tide was already half way up the block. After parking near the boulevard I was lucky enough to run into a neighbor who had a pair of boots stashed at the top of the block for just such an occasion. Thanks Gwen!
Be aware that tomorrow morning's high tide at 8:52 am with a height of 6.8 feet, may be even higher.
