Winter Storm Late Tuesday through Wednesday

A major winter storm will unfold across the East Coast on Tuesday and Wednesday.

For those of us here in Broad Channel we will have to deal with heavy rain and gusty winds which will begin to inundate our area late Tuesday through Wednesday.

Thankfully, we will not have to deal with any snow or ice.

Wednesday will bring southerly winds of 25 to 40 mph with gusts to 50-60 mph. Gusty, wind driven rain may cause visibility issues if you are driving during the storm.

Minor coastal flooding may accompany the approach and arrival of this storm but it should not be significant.

As the storm approaches with southerly winds, temperatures in our area will moderate (Tuesday in the 40's and Wednesday in the 50's) but as the storm pulls away a cold front will quickly drop temps back to the low 30's on Thanksgiving.
