Friday's Morning Tide (1/21/2011)

This morning's 9:05 am high tide started coming in fast at around 7:00 am.  By 7:40 a.m. when the above picture was taken the tide was more than a quarter way up the block and was over the sidewalks on both sides of the street.
You woudn't know from the picture that less than a hour prior, the street was covered with a blanket of almost 4 inches of clean, white snow!

At 8:22 am, our street had turned into a canal!
