...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TUESDAY TO
MIDNIGHT EST TUESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations
  of 2 to 4 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze
  possible. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...New York City and portions of Long Island.

* WHEN...From 5 AM Tuesday to midnight EST Tuesday night.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions and a
  long period of sleet. The hazardous conditions will impact the
  morning and evening commutes. Precipitation will most likely be
  in the form of rain by the end of the evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Check local Department of Transportation information services for
the latest road conditions.
