NWS - Severe T-Storm Watch and Flash Flood Watches issued

...Heavy Showers and Thunderstorms through Early Tonight...

.As a cold front moves slowly east toward the area, narrow bands of
heavy showers and thunderstorms will move northeast across the area.

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* Narrow bands of heavy showers could produce rainfall rates from
  1 to 3 inches per hour as they move across the same area. With
  wet antecedent conditions, flash flooding is possible.

* There is a chance for widespread life threatening flooding of
  small rivers, streams, brooks, and urban areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
