At 914 AM EST, widespread heavy snow combined with north winds of 20 to 30 mph will reduce visibilities making any outdoor activities hazardous. Maximum hourly snowfall rates will range from 1 to just over 3 inches, causing snow to rapidly accumulate as temperatures fall through the 20s. Isolated rumbles of thunder will accompany the heavy snowfall rates. Travel is extremely dangerous.
