Construction related Bulk Delivery Issues on West 11th and 12th Roads
Several residents of West 11th and 12th Roads have stated that they have experienced problems regarding certain bulk deliveries (propane, home heating oil, etc.) to their homes which have been cancelled due to ongoing street construction activity and/or equipment
If at all possible, schedule any bulk residential delivery to your residence to take place either on Saturday or during late afternoon hours (after 4 pm), Monday through Friday, to avoid construction related impediments.
If a Saturday or late afternoon (Mon-Fri) scheduled delivery option is not possible please contact Fern Weinreich, our Community Construction Liaison, and advise her of such pending delivery at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled bulk delivery and she will ensure the contractor is made aware of the pending delivery and every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate your delivery. (Note: If a Monday delivery is involved, please contact Ms. Weinreich on the Friday before.) Ms. Weinreich may be contacted at her field office at 646-300-4351 or via cell phone at 516-361-8822.
Additionally, advise your delivery service provider of the ongoing construction activity on your street and direct them to contact the flag man stationed at the top of your block upon arrival so that arrangements can be made to accommodate the delivery.
All residents and delivery providers should realize that, depending on the construction activity taking place at the time, there may be a delay in accommodating the delivery.
