I have become aware of “National Police Week” in Washington, DC which is a week-long reflection on Police Officers who have fallen in the line of duty for 2014. We also cannot neglect to honor those Police Officers who gave their lives in 2015 especially the recent Police Officer Brian Moore.
On May 13th the 100th Precinct Community Council President (Danny Ruscillo) along with his board members will hold a short candlelight vigil (flashlight and or flowers) from 8:30 PM to 9 PM in front of the 100th Precinct. Our Police officers put their lives on the line every day; this is just another way to show our support. There will be no speaking just silence in memory of our fallen heroes. I announced this Community vigil at our April Community Council meeting, everyone is welcome please help spread the word.
