The above video, entitled Stop Gun Violence, was published recently to YouTube as a "Public Service Advisory" by Rejina Sincic, a San Francisco based film maker and screenwriter.
The video, directed at school aged children, has an accompanying message advising the child that if their parent(s) have a gun in the house, it's okay to pack it in their school bag and take it to school with them and surrender it to a teacher.
Making matters worse, the video credits include thanks to the North Oakland Community Charter School , a K-8 educational institution, for its assistance in the making of the film.
Whether you are pro or anti gun, I think we can all agree that telling our children it's okay to handle, possess, and transport a deadly firearm is tantamount to criminal negligence.
The height of insanity is the suggestion that the child bring the firearm to his or her school!
This so called "Public Service Advisory" has so much wrong with it that I honestly don't know where to begin speaking about it other than to suggest that local authorities locate Ms. Sincic and and the principal of the involved school and charge them with endangering the lives of minors!
