New York, NY — City Council Member Eric A. Ulrich (R-Queens), Chair of the Council Veterans Committee, will receive the Freedom Award from New York City Helmets to Hardhats this Friday, November 14th at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers. The Freedom Award is the highest honor given by the organization.
New York City Helmets to Hardhats assists transitioning service members secure apprenticeships and job opportunities in the city’s construction industry. The organization works with 15 trade organizations citywide representing approximately 100,000 working men and women.
