Broad Channel: W12thRd Tidal Flooding Dates/Times (Nov.3rd - 10th, 2014)

If two full moons occur in one month, the second full moon is called a "Blue" moon.

FYI: The next "Blue" moon will take place on Friday, July 31st, 2015.

We are approaching our next full moon on Thursday, November 6th at 5:23 pm.

As always,  tidal street flooding on West 12th Road can be expected starting with specific high tides during the period of Monday, November 3rd through Monday, November 10th.

Normally tidal heights would have to reach or exceed 6 feet to cause flooding on W12th Road but recently tidal heights as little as 5.7 feet are causing minor end of block flooding because of the contractor's reconfiguration of the end of street outfall to the bay in preparation for the new bulkhead.


It will be interesting to see how the extent of routine tidal flooding is impacted once the cofferdam is completed.
