Contractors were present at the end of West 12th Road earlier this morning (June 12th) conducting soil sample tests prior to the start (hopefully) of installation of a new end of street bulkhead early next month.
Earlier this week (Tuesday, June 10th), representatives from "Verizon" and "Con Edison" were also on West 12th Road in preparation for whatever above ground utility changes will be necessary to accommodate planned street work on the block.
I have also made initial contact with Ms. Fern Weinreich who will be the contractor's "community liaison"
for the duration of this project on West 12th Road. I hope to be able to meet with her sometime later today or tomorrow to start gathering project schedule information that I will pass along to all of you.
