W12thRd tidal flooding - 7:40 pm Thu. 6/12/2014
With 1 hour left until the 6.8 foot high tide at 8:41 p.m., the tidal waters of Jamaica Bay had already run well up West 12th Road at 7:40 p.m. on Thursday evening.
This evening's (Friday the 13th - don't you just love that?) high tide will peak at 9:29 p.m. with a projected astronomical height of almost 7 feet and may be exacerbated by periods of heavy rains and our
almost non-existent run-off at time of high tide.
Keep an eye on your cars again this evening.
