The Prince-Wynn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Broad Channel has a lot going on in the next few weeks.
Post #260, located at 705 Shad Creek Road just off Cross Bay Boulevard, will be presenting events to both honor and benefit veterans.
On Friday, May 23, the Post will host “Rocking N’ Rolling for a Soldier and His Dog.”
Starting at 7 p.m. Walker, Symptom 7 and other, surprise, musical guests will perform on the VFW’s back lawn. There will also be raffles, 50/50s, and food and beverages will be available. There is an admission charge.
All proceeds will be donated to have a dog trained for a New York veteran in need.
On Sunday, May 25, the VFW will be hosting the annual Memorial Day Parade in Broad Channel. The parade starts at 1 p.m.

The VFW, along with the American Legion in Broad Channel, supports programs for all veterans and welcomes all who have served.
