This week's WAVE: Stress Workshops Scheduled In Broad Channel

With the knowledge that many are still dealing with the stresses and strains of post-storm life, Christ Presbyterian by the Sea Church is presenting free help sessions titled “Dealing with Issues Involved in Emotional and Spiritual Recovery From Hurricane Sandy.”
The first workshop, “How To Deal With Stress, Worry and Depression” will take place at the church on Sunday, January 19th at 7 p.m.
Sunday, January 26th, will cover “How To Deal with Anger Towards God and Towards Others,” starting at 7 p.m.
On the following Sundays, February 2nd will deal with “How To Be Prepared Emotionally and Spiritually for Future Tragedies and Crisis,” starting at 4:30 p.m., while February 9th will conclude the series with “How To Start Living a Meaningful and Purposeful Life Again,” beginning at 7 p.m.
David Cook, Director of the Hurricane Sandy Long Term Recovery Team at Ascension Church in Forest Hills, will lead the sessions.
