COMMITTEE TO DEMAND THE ROCKAWAY FERRY

- INCLUDING THE BROOKLYN ARMY TERMINAL (B.A.T.) PIER
CONTINUES AFTER JANUARY 31st. 2014

Who: Rockaway Committee

What: Press Conference demanding the
continuation of Ferry Service

Where: Pier 11/Wall Street Manhattan

When: Tuesday, January 21st. 2014 at 5:00 pm
Background:

The Rockaway Peninsula always needed Ferry

transportation. It took a "Super Storm" for this

form of transportation to become a reality.

Ridership is good and excellent in Spring and

Summer. For the City of New York to even consider

ending the Ferry service is unacceptable.

The clock is ticking ... January 31, 2014, is just around the corner, the date that the Rockaway Ferry service could come to an end. We must not let that happen. We, in the Rockaways, have to continue to ride the ferry; to keep ridership high, to convince city officials that there is a reason to make our Rockaway Ferry service permanent!!
