Tucked away on the west side of the small town of Broad Channel in the middle of Jamiaca Bay is a narrow, dead end, street that goes by the name of West 12th Road. Those of us who live there know that the nice part about living in a small town is that when you are not quite sure what is going on, someone else always does!

COMMITTEE TO DEMAND THE ROCKAWAY FERRY
- INCLUDING THE BROOKLYN ARMY TERMINAL (B.A.T.) PIER CONTINUES AFTER JANUARY 31st. 2014 Who: Rockaway Committee What: Press Conference demanding the continuation of Ferry Service Where: Pier 11/Wall Street Manhattan When: Tuesday, January 21st. 2014 at 5:00 pm Background:
The clock is ticking ... January 31, 2014, is just around the corner, the date that the Rockaway Ferry service could come to an end. We must not let that happen. We, in the Rockaways, have to continue to ride the ferry; to keep ridership high, to convince city officials that there is a reason to make our Rockaway Ferry service permanent!!
According to Joe Hartigan: " The most important thing right now is ridership. "
