Environmental Solutions Grant -
The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) is offering financial assistance through an Environmental Solutions for Communities grant program, designed to help communities create a more sustainable future through responsible stewardship. Application deadline is December 16th, 2013.
Global Green Grants
Global Green USA is soliciting applications for technical assistance based respectively on helping communities implement smart growth strategies, and creating neighborhoods that are walkable, bikeable, resource-efficient and equitable. The application deadline is December 20th, 2013.
Economic Revitalization Opportunities
The Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) program uses federal resources to invest in CDFIs, and build their capacity to serve low-income people and communities that lack access to affordable financial products and services. Through the CDFI program, two types of monetary awards are provided — Financial Assistance awards and Technical Assistance awards. The deadline to apply for this round of funding is December 23rd.
2014 Neighborhood Grants -
The Citizens Committee for New York City is awarding grants up to $3,000 to grassroots groups working on community projects across the city. Supported projects include everything from community gardens to tenant organizing, and require that projects be volunteerdriven and community-based. Low-income neighborhoods and Title I public schools are prioritized. Deadline to apply is January 27th, 2014.
Environmental Protection Agency Grant Opportunity
The Environmental Protection Agency is now accepting applications for their 2014 Environmental Justice Collaborative Problem-Solving (EJCPS) Cooperative Agreement Program. The (EJCPS) Cooperative Agreement Program provides funding for projects that address local environmental and/or public health issues within an affected community. Application deadline is February 18th, 2014
