It's only 8:00 am, still one hour until a 6.6 foot high tideand 9:07 am, and the bay is already running up West 12th Road.
Additionally, the National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flooding Statement indicating we can add another half foot to the incoming astronomical height of the incoming tide.
Here's hoping that DOT/DDC award the new bulkhead/street raising project to a contractor real soon!

ReplyDeleteAlthough much appreciated, there is no need for sympathy. After Sandy's tidal surge, I view this type of minor flooding as not unlike those little foot wash baths you walk through when entering a public pool.
