Queens Public Transportation Committee Petition Drive - Nov. 10th, 2013

The Queens Public Transit Committee conducted a successful petition drive, membership drive and survey outside of the Queens Center Mall on Sunday, November 10, 2013.

We had six volunteers come out to educate and organize public support for the Queens Rockaway Beach Line.

Three volunteers carried posters while another three volunteers collected petition and membership signatures, and also asked the people if they knew about the Queens RBL, the park plan and the do nothing plan.

A large majority did not know about the different plans but most favored the train plan after a brief conversation.

We have thirty new volunteers for our  cause and our committee.

Congratulations.

We believe continuous petition, membership drives, rallies and press coverage will eventually motivate the public and elected leaders that the reopening of the Queens Rockaway Beach Line for mass transit is the most responsible plan for the benefit of the people of Queens and the City.

The renewal of the Queens RBL will help correct an injustice that occurred 50 and 63 years ago due to government neglect, corruption and redlining of many parts of Queens.

Please continue to support our efforts to reactivate the Queens RBL for faster, affordable transportation.
