National Weather Service has issued a "Freeze Watch" for our area....

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW YORK HAS ISSUED A FREEZE
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY
MORNING.

* LOCATIONS...MANHATTAN...BROOKLYN...QUEENS...STATEN ISLAND.

* HAZARDS...FREEZING TEMPERATURES.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 30S.

* TIMING...TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.

Under normal circumstances I wouldn't bother posting a "freeze watch" in mid-November as it, in and of itself, is not to be unexpected but Tuesday night temps are expected to be at or just below freezing with a north wind of some 15 mph.  Although  frozen water lines are not anticipated, it is not entirely out of the question.

Many of us are still working to repair our Sandy damaged homes and in many cases there are domestic water lines that remain exposed to the elements and nobody wants the added expense of dealing with frozen water lines at this point.
