Dan Mundy, President of the Broad Channel Civic Association, passed along this good news earlier today in an email indicating that the bids for the Broad Channel Bulkhead/Street Raising Project on West 11th, 12th and 13th Roads have been received back from interested contractors.....

This is the latest on the street raising project that I received yesterday from Commissioner Hall after I had called to inquire as to the status of the bid process:
"Hi Dan: I got your voicemail yesterday. The bids were opened and DDC anticipates selection of a contractor by the end of this month or early November. If it happens sooner, I will let you know." [DOT Queens Commisioner Dalila Hall]

The next step in this process will be the selection of a contractor and putting together an initial project schedule.
