Rockaway Theatre Company presents - Boeing Boeing....

The Rockaway Theatre Company is presenting its second post-Sandy production, Boeing Boeing,  starting this Friday.

Boeing-Boeing is a classic farce written by the French playwright Marc Camoletti. The English language adaptation, translated by Beverley Cross, was first staged in London at the Apollo Theatre in 1962.

Those of you old enough should remember the 1965 movie version of this play starring Jerry Lewis and Robert Reed wherein an American playboy (Jerry Lewis) has cleverly designed a system using the airline timetables to keep going three affairs with flight stewardesses. However, his life soon starts to descend into a shambles after the arrival of a friend, Robert Reed, and a dreaded change to the flight order, whereby it becomes increasingly difficult to keep his three girlfriends apart.

I have not seen the play but the movie version of this story was a hoot and I am sure the RTC production would be an event well worth attending.
