Dear Valued Customer:
It's been over four months since Super Storm Sandy battered our area, leaving behind damage on a scale thatNew
York has never before known. And, though the
majority of our communities have since returned to normal, we at Con Edison
understand that a number of our customers are still struggling.
Those of you who live and work in the hardest-hit flood zones ofStaten Island , Brooklyn , and Queens have
had a long road to recovery. We know that many of you are still waiting to get
back into your homes and businesses. And, we want you to know that we are here
to help in any way that we can.
We have worked closely withNew
York City officials and local
contractors to streamline the electrical certification process as much as
possible. This has been done in an effort to ensure that we are there to
restore your service as soon as your home or business is ready to receive it.
That said, I invite you to contact us if you have questions about the certification process or have encountered a delay in the restoration of your service. To do so, call 1-212-780-3099.
If you prefer, you may also e-mail us at sensitivecommunicationsgroup@ coned.com. Whether you call
or write, our customer service professionals will make it their highest
priority to answer your questions or resolve your issues as quickly as possible.
This year, we have also set aside a portion of the donations received through
Con Edison's EnergyShare fund for those affected by the storm. EnergyShare provides grants of up to $200 to customers struggling to pay their energy bills. Our hope is that this will help to provide at least some relief for those feeling the financial burden of rebuilding or relocating. For more information on the fund and how to apply for a grant, call us or visit conEd.com/energyshare.
Sincerely,
Marilyn Caselli
Senior Vice President, Customer Operations
