Why can't they use Floyd Bennett Field, which has many roads previously used for aircraft?? BTW, it is not far from JFK at all... not sure anyone's considered it or the reasons for ruling it out.
ReplyDeleteI'm no expert but one would be lead to believe the proximity to JFK would not be ideal for flight pattern traffic. Not to mention the rehabilitation efforts needed to essentially rebuild the entire field into a usable airport from its current dilapidated state. And if you this the Belt Parkway is a tough ride now ...
